Smart-IE: taxes for individual entrepreneurs to be simplified in Ukraine

Individual entrepreneurs of the third group will automatically pay taxes and submit tax reports in Ukraine. This will be possible, if Draft Law No. 8226 is adopted by the Ukrainian Parliament.

Due to some innovations, IT-specialists, SMM-managers, designers and other indivisual entrepreneurs (IEs) of the third group without employees will no longer need to:

• Pay taxes personally;
• Submit declarations regularly;
• Monitor tax payments by date.

Citizens registered as individual entrepreneurs should submit an application on Diia web portal or Diia app and open a special account at a banking institution. After that, unified income tax of 5% and unified social contribution will be automatically deducted, information on the receipt of funds will be automatically transmitted to the tax authorities.

As clarified by Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation, they already have experience in developing automatic services to make business simpler. This is proved by quick registration of individual entrepreneurs and payment of taxes in a few clicks.

“But this, of course, is the next step of automation. We support all projects whose task is to remove the human factor and make the service ‘invisible’. The culture of digitalization is gaining momentum”, said Fedorov.

In particular, one of the authors of the mentioned draft law is Danylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy.
