Zelensky has signed the law on Baby Package procurements through ProZorro

As reported by the President’s Office, President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed Law No. 1359-IX, which provides that products for completing Baby Package shall be purchased at open tenders through ProZorro e-system.

The report says that currently there is no body responsible for the appointment and payment of such assistance at the legislative level. The law signed by the president resolves this issue, securing the authority to appoint and pay this type of assistance to social protection agencies located at the places of residence of newborns’ parents.

At the same time, Baby Package assistance is not included in the amount of childbirth assistance (UAH 41,280).

This law fixes the cost of Baby Package as three subsistence minimums for children under 6 years of age established on the date of announcement of a competitive tender. The final price is determined by tender.

“Such changes to the legislation will make it possible to procure products for completing Baby Package at open transparent tenders through ProZorro electronic system in order to use budget funds more efficiently,” the president added.

The Law shall come into force the next day after publication.
