Suzie TM: a journey from Ukrainian outdoor market to foreign stores (video)

Children’s clothes by Suzie TM from Ukraine are often confused with those from Europe. Starting with a kiosk at a local outdoor market, it mushroomed into a successful trademark known abroad.

“The strongest proof of high quality of our clothing is the fact that our own children wear it,” said Suzie’s founder Olga Gryniova.

Suzie TM has been offering festive, school and outerwear for girls for over 15 years. Oleg Grynion and his wife Olga started their own business on the spur of the moment, just to broaden the range of children’s clothing they were selling.

“It was a mini startup. We started with one roll of fabric and one design,” said Suzie’s founder Oleg Gryniov.

First batch of 100 skirts were sold in a day. More customers appear due to international trade fairs.

“After BABY EXPO 2012 we came to the notice of Ukrainian stores and later of European ones,” added Olga Gryniova.
