The French family clothing retailer Kiabi has launched the Beebs by Kiabi project, under which it will sell secondhand children’s items. The products are available in the brand’s physical stores, reports Modaes.

The decision follows Kiabi’s acquisition of the startup Beebs in June 2024. Beebs focused on secondhand children’s clothing, toys, and other items but had previously declared bankruptcy.

The deal coincided with the liquidation of Patapam, Kiabi’s partner specializing in textile recycling.

“This strategic move is part of Kiabi’s evolution towards sustainable, affordable, and inclusive fashion, combining new and secondhand items within a holistic experience and promoting responsible consumption,” company representatives commented.
